Physical Education, Health, & Athletics

Students have a wide-variety of options for physical education opportunities that support each unique, individual lifestyle including fitness & fitness planning (which can include a school-year Blue Hill YMCA membership), stress-reduction (meditation and yoga), skill development and practice, social-skill and team-building, etc. In collaboration with our adventure-based school counselor, we offer weekly adventure trips, including hiking, climbing, snowboarding and skiing.

Students at BHHS continue to be exposed to opportunities to learn comprehensive health education, health concepts, and influences on health and self-management, to include topics related to relationship between physical and mental health, and affirmative consent.

Through a cooperative agreement with George Stevens Academy, students have the opportunity to participate in sports such as Cross-Country, Swimming, and Indoor & Outdoor Track.
